The ODI World Cup 2023 is about to start on October 5th. The best teams in the world will compete to win the important championship. India is hosting the event for the first time, and this is making people think that Pakistan might feel a lot of pressure. Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan recently talked about fan support.
Because of the strong competition between India and Pakistan, the team led by Babar Azam is prepared to see enthusiastic Indian fans when they go to the host country for the upcoming World Cup 2023. But before the World Cup, Shadab Khan expressed confidence in his team’s ability to deal with the pressure from Indian fans. He also mentioned that not having support from fans will need a lot of determination to overcome.
Shadab Khan on Pakistan’s fan support

“We won’t have the crowd support in India. In that sense we’ll have to be very strong mentally. The way our players are, mentally strong, I think we’ll have a good tournament. Winning the World Cup in India will be like the icing on the cake… Definitely, whichever team comes will come to win the tournament, but the key is how you as a team play and how you start because we will have to play against every team; it’s a great opportunity for all the teams,” Shadab Khan said.
The World Cup begins on October 5th with a match between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The highly awaited game between India and Pakistan will also happen at the same place on October 14th. Additionally, before the World Cup begins, India and Pakistan will play against each other in the Asia Cup 2023, which starts on August 30th. This tournament is jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The match between India and Pakistan will take place in Pallekele on September 2nd.
