Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match, which will take place at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on March 4, will be played with 50% attendance.
India is currently playing their T20I series before heading to Mohali for the first of two-Test series against Sri Lanka. The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the second Test match.
Test Series against Sri Lanka

Starting March 4, India will host Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series. The first Test will be held at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, while the final Test will be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 12 and will be played under lights. With Rohit Sharma‘s appointment as Test captain, the upcoming series is expected to be a fresh start for the Indian team.
While Rohit will be leading India for the first time in whites, Virat Kohli will be playing his 100th Test match in the Mohali match. However, the batting legend will not be able to enjoy the occasion completely because the match will be played with 50% fans after Punjab Cricket Association officials confirmed that only 50% attendance will be allowed inside the stadium.
Virat Kohli’s 100th Test

Virat Kohli was supposed to play his 100th Test against South Africa in Cape Town in January, but he had to miss the second match at Johannesburg due to an upper back injury, so he had to wait until the series opener against Sri Lanka.
On Saturday, PCA treasurer RP Singla confirmed that 50% capacity will be allowed in the first Test against Sri Lanka from Mohali’s iconic stadium. According to Singla, the decision was made in accordance with a directive from India’s Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI).

“The decision to allow spectators into the ground is one taken by the state cricketing associations, and in the present circumstances is based on various factors. I have spoken with the PCA office-bearers and they have confirmed that cricket fans will be able to witness the historic moment of Virat Kohli playing his 100th Test match,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said.
Simultaneously, it has been learned that the second and final Test match in Bengaluru will be watched by a large crowd. All eyes will be on Kohli’s 71st international century, which will be played with 50% capacity in Mohali.

BCCI allowing 50% of the Crowd for Virat's 100th Test match don't distract you from fact that the same BCCI has disrespected GOAT to play his milestone match in closed doors. This is just the Power of Viratians 😎🔥.
