Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants team, said very good things about their leader KL Rahul when they introduced their new team jersey for the Indian Premier League in 2023. The IPL 2023 is just a few weeks away, and during this new season, the Lucknow Super Giants team will have a fresh look with KL Rahul leading them as the keeper-batter.
Gambhir spoke highly of the skipper during the unveiling of their new team jersey, describing the franchise as very lucky to have Rahul as their leader.

“We are very fortunate to have someone like KL Rahul, who has a very stable and balanced head. I wish I had it; I did not have that. I was very extreme, but it did work for me. For a franchise like Lucknow, it is important to have someone like KL at the helm. Going forward, this is going to be a massive positive for us,” Gambhir said.
“It starts with the captain. The captain is the flag bearer of the team. It is the captain’s team. All of us in the dressing room are there to support him. No support staff is under as much pressure as the captain. It is the body language of the captain that will decide how we perform,” he added.
It’s important to mention that KL Rahul and his team had a great season when they first played in 2022. LSG finished third in the league and played a close match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator but unfortunately lost.
There has been a lot of talk about KL Rahul’s recent batting form, and people will be closely watching how he performs in the upcoming season. The team will start their campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 1st and they will be hoping to do better than last season. They have also added new players like Nicholas Pooran, Jaydev Unadkat, and Naveen-ul-Haq to their squad in the mini-auction held in December.
