In terms of his professional career, the renowned cricketer Afridi led the Asia Lions to the finals of the Legends League Cricket 2023, which took place in Doha on Saturday.
Afridi’s Asia Lions team managed to beat Gautam Gambhir‘s India Maharajas in the Eliminator, which took place at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium. Upul Tharanga, a star opener, scored an impressive half-century of 50 runs off 31 balls, while Asghar Afghan contributed a crucial 34 runs off 24 balls to help Afridi and his team amass a massive total of 191-5 in just 20 overs. In response, Gambhir’s team could only score 106 runs in 16.4 overs, resulting in India Maharajas’ defeat by 85 runs. Tharanga, the opener, was also named the Player of the Match. The Asia Lions led by Afridi will be facing the World Giants in the final of the LLC at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Monday.
