Umran Malik, the fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, made his IPL debut in the 2021 season and soon created a name for himself with his blistering pace and ability to surprise batsmen. Despite only appearing in three games and picking up two wickets during the season, he was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), along with skipper Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad.
Nicholas Pooran was taken aback by the speed with which the ball came to him as the SRH pacer bowled a scorching bouncer.

Franchises in the Indian Premier League are preparing for the 2022 edition of the prized T20 league, which kicks off on March 26 with a match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin their season on March 29 against Rajasthan Royals, hoping to build on their poor performance in 2021 by getting off to a strong start this year.
In the IPL 2022 mega auction last month, SRH established a formidable team by bringing in major names like Nicholas Pooran, Rahul Tripathi, T Natarajan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, as well as the three players they kept, Kane Williamson, Umran Malik, and Abdul Samad.

Meanwhile, pacer Umran Malik was seen throwing a few brutal bouncers against Caribbean batter Pooran in a video that has gone viral on social media. Pooran can be seen in the video evading the first bouncer at the last possible instant before Malik delivers the second bouncer. Pooran had no trouble connecting on the second bouncer, but he ended up sending it right to the fielder on the leg side, who took the catch.

Before the 2022 edition, the Sunrisers hired veteran pacer Dale Steyn as bowling coach, and Umran will spend the season with the South African icon.
“Yeah, very happy to be back. I’ve been in India for quite some time so I’m quite excited to be back. Just driving from the airport brought back so many memories,” Steyn said.
