Umran Malik is arguably one of the most priced products to emerge from the Indian pace revolution over the last decade. His ability to consistently clock over 150 kmph makes him a dangerous bowler to face. Umran malik made his IPL debut in the 2021 season for Sunrisers Hyderabad. His ability to bowl fast made him an immediate fan favourite and he was retained by the franchise ahead of the 2022 season.
Umran Malik Reveals his most priced wicket:
The 2022 season has been a good one for Umran Malik with the pacer attracting constant appreciation for his pace. The Jammu born has also improved his line and length this season and has been amongst wickets. The pacer especially impressed against Punjab Kings where he had four wickets under his name. Malik has grabbed 10 wickets in six games this season.
Umran Malik recently appeared on a video interview with Sports Tak where he was asked who would be his dream wicket this IPL. The pacer made a sincere answer stating “KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.” He further added “Wanted to get KL Rahul out. I tried that out in our last match (SRH vs LSG). Our next match is against RCB and I would aim to get Kohli bhai out. I am a big fan of both these players (KL Rahul and Virat Kohli). I can only give my hundred per cent, rest is in God’s hand.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad is set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next game where Umran Malik will pose a danger to the top order of the team in red.
Virat Kohli has praised Umran Malik in the past:
Umran Malik first appeared on the scene during the latter half of last season owing to an injury to T Natarajan. He clocked a delivery at 152.5 KMPH which was the second-fastest ball of the season. He attracted immediate appreciation from Virat Kohli, then captain of the Indian squad. Kohli said, “Whenever you see talent like this, you are going to have your eyes on them and make sure you maximise their potential.”
Malik was soon added to the Indian squad as a net bowler for T20 World Cup.
