Umran Malik is an Indian cricketer who debuted for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 18, 2021. In the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he made his List A debut on February 27, 2021, for Jammu & Kashmir. The Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 Indian Premier League named Malik as a short-term COVID-19 replacement for T. Natarajan in September 2021.
Early Life and Career

Umran Malik is a fast bowler from India who is well-known for his fast bowling. He was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on November 22, 1999. Umran, who has loved cricket since he was a child, dropped out of tenth grade to devote his time to the sport. He used to compete in local cricket tournaments in his hometown. His family was also enthusiastic about cricket and never refused to play with him.
He began his career as a batsman, and then gradually transitioned to bowling. He was well-known for his batting in domestic tournaments, and he also had a century to his credit. He later took up bowling as a hobby. He then gave an Under-19 trial, following which Randhir Singh Manhas taught and trained him to play. He was then selected for the Under 23 team, where he played.
After that, he was chosen for the Mushtaq Ali Trophy and later the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He gave a fantastic performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which helped him advance in his career. Abdul Samad, a Jammu cricketer who was playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, informed SRH’s coach VVS Laxman about Umran’s bowling. He was then selected as a net bowler for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.
After Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler T Natarajan became Covid positive, he was given the opportunity to make his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021. He gave up 27 runs in four overs while bowling at 145 kmph in that match.

He had a fantastic season in IPL 2022, taking 22 wickets in 14 matches while bowling for Sunrisers Hyderabad. With a bowling speed of 157 kmph, he is the second-fastest bowler in IPL history.
