The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season has clearly not been kind to Mumbai Indians (MI). If someone could sum up MI’s current campaign in a single image, it would have to be the dismissal of Ishan Kishan against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), which stunned everyone.
Kishan, the wicketkeeper-batsman who started Mumbai’s 169-run chase, was dismissed on 8 by Ravi Bishnoi.
Unlucky dismissal of Ishan Kishan shocks everyone

Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants battled it out at the Wankhede Stadium in search of their first IPL 2022 victory there. After winning the toss, MI chose to bowl first, and LSG reached 168/6 thanks to a second consecutive KL Rahul century. Rahul was the only batter who continued to score runs for his team, and his innings featured 12 boundaries and four sixes at a strike rate of 166.12.
Ishan Kishan’s bad run in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) continued on Sunday evening as he was dismissed for a single digit score in the match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium.
The ball edged off Kishan’s bat and deflected onto LSG wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock’s shoes, eventually falling into Jason Holder’s hands.
In real time, the dismissal appeared strange, and on-field umpires rushed to the third umpire as soon as the Lucknow players began celebrating.
The ball had struck Ishan’s bat, deflected onto De Kock’s shoes, and finally landed in Holder’s hands, according to the replays. It was a valid dismissal because the ball didn’t contact the ground, but it was really odd.

The incident occurred in the eighth over of the Mumbai Indians’ innings, when Ravi Bishnoi assisted his team in making their first breakthrough of the night, which was quickly followed by the dismissals of Dewald Brevis and Rohit Sharma, rocking MI’s pursuit once more.

Kishan’s dismissal went viral on social media almost as soon as he was sent back to the dugout.
