He averages a fantastic 56.45 against Pakistan.
2. Dilip Vengsarkar
An unusual name in the second position is Vengsarkar. He played 22 matches against Pakistan in his career and scored a total of 1284 runs. He averaged 44.27 against them. His best score against Pakistan was 146 not out. In the 1980 series, it was the second test. This was played in the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium (now called Arun Jaitley Stadium). The “Wall” has had a great deal of success against the Pakistanis. He has played a total of 15 matches against Pakistan and has got 1236 runs against them. His best innings were 270 runs which he scored in the 2004 series. It was the 3rd match of the series and was played in Rawalpindi. He scored 270 off 495 balls in the first innings. His valiant effort helped India win the match and he was awarded the man of the match for the same. He has a healthy average of 53.73 against Pakistan.
5. Mohinder Amarnath
He has played a total of 18 matches against Pakistan and has scored 1080 runs against them. His best innings were 120 runs which he scored in the 1983 series of India touring Pakistan. It was the 5th match of the series and was played in Lahore. He scored 120 off 200 balls in the first innings. Considering those times, he batted with a healthy strike rate of 60, and his innings were dotted with 15 fours and 1 six.
