Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, is regarded as a modern-day cricket legend. Since his debut in 2008, he has set multiple records and has been the poster boy of Indian cricket. He is an inspiration to millions of young people who aspire to be successful in life. Though he is currently having a difficult time in his career, his statistics in the cricket place him among the best to have ever played the game.
He is nearly a permanent name in everyone’s all-time greats in cricket, given to his fantastic exploits in the past and the talent he possesses. However, when BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly selected his playing XI recently, his name was left off.
No Virat Kohli in All-Time XI of Saurav Ganguly

Despite the fact that Virat Kohli is now having a bad run, his records in cricket make him one of the best players ever. However, when BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly selected his all-time playing 11 recently, his name was left out.
A video from the official Lord’s Cricket Ground Youtube account from 2016 has reappeared on social media and is going viral. Sourav Ganguly, who was a commentator at the time, was asked to select his all-time playing eleven in the video.
In the video, Ganguly completely ignored Virat Kohli, who was India’s Test captain at the time and had already cemented his reputation as one of the greatest batsmen of all time by late 2016.

Sourav Ganguly started with two southpaws, Matthew Hayden of Australia and Alastair Cook of England. Following them, Ganguly chose Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, two renowned Indian batsmen. Dada chose South African star Jacques Kallis as the all-rounder, while Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lanka’s legendary stumper and batter, was chosen as the wicket-keeper batsman.
Surprisingly, Ganguly picked Ricky Ponting at seventh. Ponting was also appointed captain of Ganguly’s team. He completed his playing XI by selecting legends such as Glenn McGrath, Dale Steyn, Shane Warne, and Muttiah Muralitharan.
