Shubman Gill is one of the most gifted players in the Indian Team. In his most recent ODI appearances for India, Gill has been very impressive. Gill was the highest run scorer in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, scoring 205 runs at an astounding average of 102.50 while opening the batting. He scored two half-centuries, including a 98-run innings in the third ODI that was postponed due to rain. Gill even won the Man of the Series Award at the end.
Due to his outstanding performance against the West Indies, Shubman Gill has already been selected for the forthcoming ODI series against Zimbabwe and is expected to be a regular fixture in the 50-over format. Gill was impressive in the IPL and helped Gujarat Titans win the championship.
Shubman Gill on winning the IPL

Shubman Gill was not retained by the two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders despite his stellar performance with the bat for them in the IPL.
For the IPL 2022 season, Gujarat Titans signed him in search of a solid opening batter. He continued to play game-winning innings and was crucial to his team’s title victory.
Gill compared winning the Indian Premier League to winning the U19 World Cup. Gill scored the winning runs for GT in the IPL 2022 final game against Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gill also led India in runs scored during their U19 World Cup-winning campaign in 2018 in New Zealand.
“It means a lot. After winning the Under-19 World Cup, winning the IPL is just as big,” Gill said.

“It is my fifth year and I’m fortunate enough to win the IPL this time. I wanted to be there till the end and that was the talk with the coaches. Glad I took them over the line,” he added.
“I’m glad that in the end KKR took the decision of not retaining me. I joined Gujarat Titans and we ended up winning the IPL,” he further said.
