Sarfaraz Khan of Mumbai couldn’t hold back his tears on Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy final against Madhya Pradesh after scoring a century. The 24-year-old was visibly moved as he acknowledged his century and was seen teary-eyed as he removed his helmet.
Sarfaraz maintained his composure on day two after exercising caution on the first day. He scored a 243-ball 134 which helped his team massively. His outstanding performance included 13 fours and two sixes.
Sarfaraz Khan scores century in Ranji Trophy final

Mumbai lost Shams Mulani on the first ball of the day after resuming play from 248/5 when pacer Gaurav Yadav dismissed him. When he cut Gaurav over the backward point for a boundary, Sarfaraz first displayed signs of playing freely.
As soon as left-arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya Singh entered the attack, Sarfaraz began hitting more and soon after played a sweep over mid-wicket and reached his fifty with a single through the same area. Sarfaraz continued to attack Kartikeya after reaching his century, slog-sweeping him for a six over deep midwicket.
After reaching his hundred, Sarfaraz performed the well-known Sidhu Moose Wala step, who was fatally shot on May 29. At Chinnaswamy, where Sarfaraz used to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during his formative IPL years, Sarfaraz gave a tribute to the late player by tapping his thigh and pointing upward. After seeing him make that kind gesture, the fans in the stadium were overjoyed.
Many well-known figures have paid tribute to the late singer-rapper by performing his signature move. On May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, the singer was shot and killed by unidentified assailants while in his car.
A video of Sarfaraz scoring his century was posted on Twitter by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
