Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, was irritated by a post from the franchise on Friday, and as a result, he unfollowed the team’s official Twitter page.
As the IPL 2022 gets ready to get off on Saturday with the first match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, all franchises’ social media teams are busy engaging with their dedicated supporters on various platforms.
Franchises are attempting to provide the most comprehensive coverage of training camps, pool games, team talks, and player and coach interviews in order to keep cricket fans informed about the team’s preparations for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league. Some franchises are also collaborating with players to create viral videos.
Rajasthan Royals Fire Social Media Team After Sanju Samson Complaint

After skipper Sanju Samson complained about his edited image, the Rajasthan Royals are likely to sack their social media manager. Rajasthan Royals sent out a tweet this afternoon with an edited photo that depicted Sanju Samson in a most amusing manner. It has apparently been discovered that Samson has taken offence and has complained to senior management. Following all of this, he unfollowed the RR’s official Twitter handle.
“It’s okay for friends to do all this but teams should be professional.” Samson tweeted and unfollowed the account.

After all of the commotion, RR took down the tweet. However, rumours are circulating that Samson has protested to high management and that the person in charge of their social media accounts may be fired.

Along with England wicketkeeper-battler Jos Buttler and Indian player Yashasvi Jaiswal, Samson was included in the IPL 2022 retention players’ list. After Steve Smith was released by the organization ahead of the IPL 2021 season, Samson took over as captain. Samson’s captaincy in the IPL got off to a shaky start, with RR finishing seventh on the points table after five wins in 14 league stage matches.
With 2583 runs in 95 innings, Samson is the second-highest run-scorer for the Rajasthan Royals, trailing only former captain Ajinkya Rahane (3098).
