Kumar Kartikeya made his IPL debut for the Mumbai Indians recently, and his left-arm spin impressed everyone. Experts praised his control and versatility. The extraordinary thing is that the youngster only six months ago learned to bowl wrist-pin in the hopes of a successful career.
Meanwhile, Kumar Kartikeya was overjoyed to have finally met his family after nine years and three months apart. On Wednesday, August 3, the 24-year-old shared a photo with his mother to express his happiness.
Kumar Kartikeya meets family after 9 years, 3 months

One of the most inspirational tales to emerge from the 15th season of the Indian Premier League was that of Kumar Kartikeya (IPL). The left-arm spinner made his IPL debut earlier this year for the five-time champion Mumbai Indians, and he dazzled everyone with his performance.
Due to no interest from any of the 10 franchises, the 24-year-old was unable to secure an IPL contract. Kartikeya was able to join the Mumbai Indians team, nevertheless, because of Arshad Khan‘s injury, and he was immediately added to the starting XI.
Kartikeya’s story is very sad. He left home at the age of 15 in order to stop being a financial burden on his family and had to work in a factory until his goal came true. He had to save INR 10 for a pack of cookies even though he hadn’t had lunch in an entire year. Kartikeya has worked incredibly hard, and as a result, he was able to represent Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy for the first time in 2018.
Kartikeya said during his inaugural IPL season this year that it had been a long time since he had seen his family and that the wait had finally been worthwhile. He made his Mumbai Indians debut and came back with figures of 1 for 19, therefore he is likely to become a future star.
On Wednesday, August 3, the 24-year-old shared a photo of himself and his mother on social media to show his happiness.
“Met my family and mumma after 9 years 3 months. Unable to express my feelings,” Kartikeya tweeted.
