Throughout his illustrious career, former India captain Virat Kohli has been compared to batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on numerous occasions. Kohli’s numbers and consistency at his best were so impressive that many predicted he would match, if not surpass, Tendulkar’s Test and ODI records.
While Kohli has dismissed any comparisons, claiming that Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers of all time and one of the reasons he began playing the game, the comparisons have continued whenever Kohli broke a record held by the Little Master.
Sachin Tendulkar on the Tendulkar vs Kohli debate

Tendulkar was recently asked in an interview with Graham Bensinger who is better than him and Kohli. He gave an excellent response to this question.
He answered, “How about having both of us in one team.“
He also claimed that between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the former is “more of his type”.
Kohli previously stated in an interview with Gaurav Kapur on the Breakfast With Champions show a few years ago that no one can compare to the Little Master.

“You can only compare those who are worthy of the comparison. You are comparing me to someone because of whom I started playing cricket in the first place. I stand no chance in terms of skill level. He’s the most complete batsman ever. Then how can you even compare? I’ve always said it’s not fair to him. Because of what he’s given us, he doesn’t deserve to be compared to us. This generation, no chance”, Kohli said.
