The IPL 2022 mega auction began today at 11 a.m. IST in Bangalore. The IPL 2022 auction will be a mega auction because it is scheduled to take place for the grandest-ever IPL, IPL 2022.
This year’s IPL auction will feature a total of ten teams, with each team receiving a pool of INR 90 crores to build their squads. A total of 590 players will be auctioned off over the course of two days in Bangalore on February 12 and 13.
Shreyas Iyer – Rs 12.25 crore

Shreyas Iyer was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping Rs 12.25 crore. Last season, he captained the Delhi Capitals but was replaced by Rishabh Pant due to a severe injury and was not been retained by the franchise.
Kagiso Rabada – Rs 9.25 Crore

Kagiso Rabada, a South African pacer with a base price of Rs 2 crore, was signed by Punjab Kings for Rs 9.25 crore. As Rabada’s price continued to rise at a rapid pace, the Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans sparked a genuine bidding war. Punjab entered the fray with a bid of Rs 8.25 crore, and Gujarat raised it further as Delhi chose to sit back. Punjab Kings eventually signed the South African for Rs 9.25 crore.
Shikhar Dhawan – Rs 8.25 crore

Following an intense bidding war in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Punjab Kings secured ace Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan, for Rs 8.25 crore. The Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals were involved in a bidding war for Dhawan, but the left-handed batsman was eventually acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore.
Trent Boult – Rs 8 Crore

Trent Boult, the New Zealand pacer, was a hot commodity at the IPL Auction, with a price tag of Rs 2 crore. The Rajasthan Royals paid Rs 8 crore for him. The bids came in quickly for Boult, with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals among those who put their bids. As the Royals continued to go for it, Mumbai chipped in with Rs 6.25 crore.
Pat Cummins – Rs 7.25 Crore

Pat Cummins was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 7.25 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction. KKR was able to reintegrate the right-arm pacer into their lineup. The Australian pacer had previously set a base price of Rs. 2 crores for himself. In the previous auction, Cummins was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Pat Cummins was selected by the Kolkata Knight Riders in both the 2014 and 2015 Indian Premier Leagues. Cummins only played one game and took one wicket in his first IPL season in 2014. He only took one wicket in three games the following season. He did not play in the 2016 IPL.
Ravichandran Ashwin – Rs 5 crore
At the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, off-spinner R Ashwin, who had a base price of Rs 2 crore, was sold to Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 5 crore. The 35-year-old was eventually signed by the Rajasthan Royals after a bidding war between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, which was started by the former.
