Matthew Hayden, former Australia and CSK cricketer has picked four teams that are likely to qualify for the IPL 2022 playoffs this year. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets in the IPL 2022 opener on Saturday, the team’s first match since Dhoni stepped down as captain.
The IPL Mega Auction began earlier in February, providing all franchises with a new and fresh start as well as an opportunity to develop their teams for this year’s IPL as well as the future.
Two more teams have been added to the mix. Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), both led by former Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya and former Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul, will make this year’s IPL more entertaining and competitive.
Matthew Hayden Picks Four Teams That Will Qualify For Playoffs

Former CSK opener Matthew Hayden identified four clubs that will qualify for the playoffs in the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League during a post-match live show. The former Australian opener is known for his unbiased opinion and has often been proven correct with his predictions. Hayden made his predictions based on the past form of these teams along with their current team combinations.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), according to the former player, will stay consistent throughout the league and reach playoffs.

“CSK will be the first team I wish to see in the top four. I am actually going to leave Mumbai Indians out of that. I’ll have Delhi across in the list and then Kolkata. And then pretty much like last year, I think RCB have a really good side. So these are my top four picks,” Hayden said.
Only time will tell if his prediction proves right or wrong. However, it will be interesting to see how his selected teams perform in the upcoming season.
