On Friday (April 29), the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) faced off in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MCA Stadium.
LSG were dealt with a blow before the game when its CEO Raghu Iyer, his associate Rachita Berry, and Gaurav Arora, Gautam Gambhir’s manager, were involved in a minor traffic accident on their way to Pune for the game. All of them, however, have been confirmed to be safe and sound.
LSG CEO Raghu Iyer suffers injury in a road accident

Raghu Iyer, the CEO of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), was involved in a car accident on Friday evening, only hours before the team’s crucial match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. The LSG CEO is alleged to have been driving from Mumbai to Pune when he was involved in a car accident.
Iyer and two other people, including Gautam Gambhir’s personal assistant Gaurav Arora, were traveling by car behind the team bus. According to reports, the three people were injured, but the staff is now safe.

Even the franchise issued an official statement on the incident, noting that all three members of the contingent were unharmed and are doing well at the moment.
“Lucknow Super Giants’ CEO Raghu Iyer, his associate Rachita Berry and Gaurav Arora, Manager for Gautam Gambhir were involved in a minor road accident en route to the venue for tonight’s game. Fortunately, all three are safe and well,” the statement read.

LSG are in their first season of the IPL in 2022, and they have made a strong start. The team has won five of its eight games so far, led by Indian batting star KL Rahul. In the IPL 2022 points standings, they are presented in the fourth position.
