Indian cricket player S Sreesanth experienced triumph as a member of India‘s victorious teams in two World Cups. He contributed to their victories in the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the 50-over World Cup in 2011. Additionally, S Sreesanth played a role in India’s ascent to the top of the Test rankings in 2009 as a part of the Indian Test team. Throughout his career, he showcased his talent with numerous game-changing performances. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) imposing a lifetime ban on him following the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal.
During the seventh season of the IPL in 2013, Sreesanth, along with his Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan, faced allegations of involvement in the spot-fixing scandal. Delhi Police arrested them on these charges. Sreesanth specifically was accused of engaging in spot-fixing activities. However, he was eventually acquitted of all charges due to a lack of substantial evidence. Nevertheless, Sreesanth found himself in Tihar jail, supposedly due to the reason believed to be the cause for his ban. Despite his acquittal, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) maintained the lifetime ban on him, preventing the Kerala fast bowler from participating in any form of competitive cricket.
S Sreesanth reveals how he met his wife

While Sreesanth was in Jaipur for a cricket match, he had the opportunity to meet his future wife. He and Shoaib Akhtar visited her school for a special event. During this occasion, Bhuvneshwari, who was in 10th grade at the time, crossed paths with Sreesanth for the very first time.
Despite experiencing love at first sight, the bowler’s feelings were not reciprocated by her. However, they had another encounter when she visited the stadium. Sreesanth, hoping to catch her attention, waved at her, but Bhuvneshwari remained indifferent. Their paths crossed once more at a dinner party, where Sreesanth took the opportunity to give her a note with his phone number, suggesting that she contact him to offer congratulations if he performed well in his matches.
Recently, in an interview, he revealed how he met the love of his life.

Bhuvneshwari’s friends initially believed it was a prank and teased her about it. In order to prove them wrong, she decided to call him, and that’s when their conversations began.
After dating for approximately six years, the couple faced a hurdle when Sreesanth’s cricket ban made him hesitant about their marriage. He was concerned about involving Bhuvneshwari in his tumultuous life. However, Bhuvneshwari’s family held a positive opinion of him and didn’t want the turmoil to hinder their relationship. With the blessings of both families, they ultimately got married on December 12, 2013. The wedding consisted of two ceremonies, one in traditional South Indian style and another in the typical Rajasthani style.
