Joseph Charles Butler is Jos Buttler‘s full name. Buttler was brought up in a Christian family. Jos Buttler was born in the English town of Taunton in the county of Somerset. Josh is a nickname given to him by his peers.
In 2008, Josh was a member of King’s College’s cricket team, and in 2009, he began playing professional cricket for Somerset in England’s domestic league. At the age of 15, he made his senior club cricket debut for Cheddar before moving to Glastonbury for the 2006 season, when he took three catches and scored 15 runs as wicket-keeper.
He made his first appearance for Somerset Second XI later that season, hitting 71 in the second innings and grabbing six catches in a three-day encounter against Nottinghamshire Second XI.
