Early life and career

Jitesh Sharma made his debut in domestic T20 cricket on 31 March 2014 in Nagpur, playing against the Uttar Pradesh team. In the T20 format, he has accumulated 1329 runs in 54 matches with an average of 28.27 and an impressive strike rate of 141.83. Throughout his T20 cricket career, he has achieved eight half-centuries and one century.
Furthermore, Jitesh displayed an outstanding performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 season, scoring 214 runs in 8 matches at an average of 53.50. During this period, his strike rate was an impressive 235.16, earning praise and recognition from cricket experts.
He started his First-Class cricket journey by debuting for the Vidarbha team against the Orissa team on 1st October 2015. Since then, he has participated in 16 first-class matches, achieving a total of 553 runs with an average of 24.04.
His debut in List A cricket occurred on 27th February 2014, where he played against the Rajasthan team. Over time, Jitesh has participated in 41 List-A matches, amassing 1266 runs at an average of 34.21.
He became a part of the Mumbai Indians team during IPL 2016, but he didn’t get a chance to play and was let go in 2018. However, in the IPL 2022 auction, Punjab Kings bought him for 20 lakhs, and now he is proving his skills both in batting and wicketkeeping. He made his IPL debut on 04 April 2022 against the CSK team, scoring 26 runs, including three impressive sixes.
