In the fourth T20I of the five-match series against India on Friday, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to field first. The match, which is going on at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, is a must-win for India, who are down 2-1 in the series at home.
Bavuma meanwhile got injured during the chase and was forced to retire hurt.
Temba Bavuma injured after a nasty blow

India set a difficult target of 170 against South Africa in the fourth T20I of the five-match series on Friday in Rajkot. In response, South Africa got off to a good start, scoring 20/0 after three overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled two excellent overs, allowing only eight runs in the process.
Bhuvneshwar bowled the third ball of the third over, which was pitched on a good length. South Africa’s captain, Temba Bavuma, was on strike and wanted to play the ball from the back foot. However, the ball took an unexpected bounce, which caught the batsman off guard. It continued to strike Bavuma’s left shoulder before bouncing off his helmet.

Bhuvneshwar immediately extended his hand in apology and went to see if he was okay. He was followed by Indian players as well. However, in the next over, Bavuma was forced to retire hurt.
The Proteas had previously lost by 48 runs in the third T20I, after the Indian team had made an incredible comeback. The Men in Blue will have to work together as a team and ensure that they can play with both bat and ball. South Africa, on the other hand, will be hoping to make a comeback and win the series in this match.
“We were looking to bowl first. The only thing we are focusing on is our process and are not thinking this is a must-win game. We are trying to increase our run rate in the middle overs and that’s what we are trying to achieve as a team. We are playing with the same team,” Indian captain Rishabh Pant said at the toss.
