Mohsin Khan, an Indian fast bowler, played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and impressed everyone with his disciplined bowling in his first IPL season. In a conversation with Mohsin’s coach, Badruddin Siddiqui, ace India pacer Mohammed Shami said he could turn the LSG pacer into India’s best all-rounder in four months.
Siddiqui, who has previously worked with Shami, believes Mohsin is a good batter as well, and that KL Rahul shares his opinion. He went on to say that the 23-year-old has a good grasp of the game. Mohsin, on the other hand, did not have much of an opportunity to contribute with the bat in the IPL 2022, playing mostly at number 10.

A number of young players exploded onto the scene in the 2022 Indian Premier League. While Umran Malik’s incredible speed took the season by storm, players like Arshdeep Singh and Tilak Varma also impressed with their performances.
Umran and Arshdeep were also called up by India for the five-match T20I series against South Africa as a result of their outstanding performances. Mohsin Khan was one such young bowler who put in outstanding performances for his team.
Mohsin, who was a member of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022, appeared in nine games and took 14 wickets at a 5.96 economy rate. Mohsin Khan is second only to Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine among bowlers who have bowled more than 30 overs this season.
In the auction, the LSG selected Mohsin for his base price of INR 20 lakh, and his coach, Badruddin Siddiqui, who has previously worked with Mohammed Shami, opened up about the young bowler and revealed his conversation with Shami about Mohsin.

“When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami in his farmhouse. He was picked, and so was Mohsin. Shami told me, ‘If you just give me four months with him (Mohsin), I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder’. He is a very good batsman. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game,” Siddiqui said.
“There can be many bowlers but you need to have a good understanding. You need to know what ball to use against which batsman. Today, Shami is a big bowler. But he is always ready to help the up and coming youngsters,” Siddiqui added.
