Aakash Chopra criticizes Indian selectors

On November 23, the senior selection committee announced the roster for India’s forthcoming tour of Bangladesh.
India will participate in two Test matches beginning on December 14 after playing three one-day international matches (ODI) beginning on December 4 in Dhaka. Jadeja was always questionable for the series and is now anticipated to miss the Test matches. Along with vice-captain KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were all rested for the New Zealand tour, regular captain Rohit Sharma returns to the squad.
Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra has slammed the selectors for dropping Shubman Gill
“Shubman Gill, who is performing very well and is looking in very good form, was not part of the World Cup as well and is not at all tired, he doesn’t need any workload management but he has not been selected for the Bangladesh series. What are you going to tell Shubman Gill?” he said.

The former Indian opener was also baffled by Deepak Hooda’s exclusion from the Indian team for the tour of Bangladesh.
“Deepak Hooda, who played in place of Sanju Samson in the last match, he is a multi-faceted player, got to play one match in the World Cup, but this guy also does not need workload management. He didn’t play the first ODI as well. Why Deepak Hooda needs rest, I don’t know,” he added.
Chopra emphasized the switch-up between Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan while admitting that Suryakumar Yadav certainly needed a break.
“SKY – I can agree if you say he is genuinely rested because he has played a lot of continuous cricket. Sanju Samson is also not going to Bangladesh. Ishan Kishan, who was part of the T20I series here, will go there. Sanju Samson is a part of the ODI team here whereas Ishan Kishan is not,” he further added.
