There are numerous stories of ups and downs in cricket, and one more will be added to the list before the commencement of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League on March 26 in Mumbai.
Former Indian pacer Mohit Sharma, who was a key member of Team India during the 2014 T20 World Cup and the 2015 ICC Men’s World Cup, will play in this year’s IPL as well, but the twist is that the 33-year-old from Faridabad will not be on the field as a player this time, but will instead assist others in preparing for the high-voltage matches as a net bowler.
Mohit Sharma Becomes Net Bowler For Gujarat Titans

Former CSK player Mohit Sharma, who represented India in the 2014 T20 World Cup and 2015 ODI World Cup and was as well as the winner of Purple Cap in the IPL 2014, is presently a net bowler for the Gujarat Titans, one of two new franchises in the upcoming IPL 2022.
Mohit Sharma, known for his swing bowling, began his IPL career with the Chennai Super Kings in 2013 and took 20 wickets in his first season, paving the path for his India debut in ODIs and T20Is. He did even better in 2014, taking 23 wickets for CSK and finishing as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker.
He took 14 wickets for CSK in 2015 before being purchased by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), where he took 33 wickets over the next three seasons. Mohit returned to CSK for IPL 2019 but played only one game before being acquired by Delhi Capitals. He played only one match in 2020 and failed to impress. He did not sell in the IPL 2021 auction or the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Mohit Sharma has joined Gujarat Titans as a net bowler after going unsold in last month’s mega-auction. The fast bowler, along with Barinder Sran and Gurkeerat Singh Mann, recently shared a story about Holi celebrations on his official Instagram account. Gurkeerat is a member of the Gujarat Titans squad, which includes Mohit and Sran as net bowlers, as well as Lukman Meriwala. Fans were shocked to see the downfall of one of the most decorated bowlers of IPL history.
