The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) quest for the elusive IPL title continues after they were knocked out of the IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 game by Rajasthan Royals. On the back of Mumbai Indians’ five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals, RCB made the playoffs. In the Eliminator match, Rajat Patidar’s scintillating century (112*) led RCB to a 14-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants.
The RCB management will be eagerly anticipating the IPL 2023 Auction and will be looking to fill the voids in their squad.
- Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer was retained by KKR ahead of Shubman Gill following his outstanding performance in the UAE phase of the IPL 2021. Due to his sublime performance last season, Venkatesh Iyer was given the opportunity to play for the Indian team as well. However, he only scored 182 runs in 12 games this season, including a single half-century, which is a drop from last year’s performance. If KKR releases him, he could be a great addition for the RCB.
- Jason Roy

The Gujarat Titans were shocked when England opener Jason Roy announced his withdrawal from the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), citing bio-bubble fatigue. The Gujarat Titans may release Roy before the 2023 IPL season, and RCB should definitely pursue him.
- Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi is one of the players RCB may target for the IPL 2023 season. He didn’t get a chance at SRH despite being a promising pacer. This is understandable given the success of players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik. Kartik will be aware of this and may wish to join a team where he will have more opportunities.
- Shreyas Gopal

Shreyas Gopal is a seasoned leg-spinner, but he hasn’t played much in recent years. He was previously on the verge of being selected for Team India. Gopal is a capable batter who can contribute as an all-rounder. At SRH, Gopal didn’t get many opportunities. As a result, he might want to look into other options, and RCB could be a good fit for him.
- Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes may withdraw from the IPL once again as he has been named captain of the England Test Team. RCB should look to hire an experienced cricketer if he decides to play in the competition. He can help RCB with a variety of issues. With his medium speed, the player could be extremely useful.
