Chris Lynn, who was playing for Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the Natwest T20 Blast, smacked a huge six. The hit was so big that it crossed the stadium and landed in the backyard of a nearby resident.
Chris Lynn hits a massive six in T20 Blast which lands in a resident’s backyard

Chris Lynn, an Australian batter who took up a commentary job during the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has returned to the field and is currently playing for Northamptonshire in the T20 Blast.
Lynn blasted a magnificent 46-ball 83 to blow away Durham in his side’s second game, as Northamptonshire bounced back well after losing by 125 runs to Warwickshire the day before.
Lynn and partner Ben Curran put on a 149-run opening stand to help Northants reach 223 runs in the first innings. Lynn made a statement with an explosive knock that included four fours and eight sixes after being released by his Big Bash League (BBL) team Brisbane Heat after 11 years with them.
One of the sixes landed in the backyard of a Northampton resident near the County Ground. When the ball was seen coming into the garden, the resident shared the CCTV footage, and the same handle shared the picture with the ball.

Northants won their first game of the Blast 2022 thanks to the openers’ blitz and will be hoping to keep their winning streak going. Aside from the openers, Rob Keough contributed a quickfire cameo of 36 off 21 to help Northants reach a massive total.
Durham skipper suffered a shoulder dislocation while batting and had to retire hurt after a 7-ball 21. 224 was a massive target, and Durham fell 31 runs short. Northants bowlers Freddie Heldreich, Matt Kelly, and skipper Josh Kobb kept Durham at bay and left the hammering against Warwickshire behind. Lancashire, led by Liam Livingstone and Tim David, drew a thrilling match against Yorkshire, and the lack of a super-over decider meant that the two teams shared the points.
