Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, has admitted that his team has not been able to put up their best effort this season. He does believe, though, that even the most renowned sports teams go through a poor patch.
After their eighth straight loss in the league, the Mumbai Indians became the first club to be knocked from the IPL 2022 playoffs race on Sunday. MI has yet to open its account, hence Rohit, one of the most successful captains in IPL history, was unable to lead his club to victory this time.
“We haven’t put our best foot forward in this tournament but that happens, many sporting giants have gone through this period but I adore this squad and its surroundings,” he wrote on Twitter, addressing the fans. I’d also like to thank our supporters for their unwavering support and unwavering dedication to this club thus far.” After the team’s dry run this season, Rohit has received a lot of criticism, but he is not exclusively to blame. MS Dhoni had a similar experience in the year 2020 when he failed to play well with the bat, and CSK lost many games in the competition.
We haven’t put our best foot forward in this tournament but that happens, many sporting giants have gone through this phase but I love this team and it’s environment. Also want to appreciate our well wishers who’ve shown faith and undying loyalty to this team so far 💙@mipaltan

Rohit Sharma was just named India’s all-format captain, and after a series of successful stints, he landed in Mumbai to keep the momentum going. He hasn’t been able to do so, however. In the midst of the excitement, the 34-year-old has lost his form in the game, scoring only 153 runs in eight innings at an average of 19.13 in the IPL 2022.
Rohit has led Mumbai to five IPL victories, but this is the first time he has failed to deliver. He also admitted that the batters, including himself, have struggled at the plate this round. However, there is still hope that the club will rebound stronger and put on a solid showing this season.
