Riyan Parag and Harshal Patel appeared to engage in a furious dispute following the 20th over of the Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday.
In the penultimate over of RR’s innings, Parag tore into Harshal Patel, ripping through deep square leg for four and two sixes for 18 runs from the last over.
After the 20th over, though, things went ugly when Parag and Patel got into a furious confrontation. The RR batter was walking back to the pavilion when he turned around and began arguing with Harshal Patel, who was being held back by an RR support staff member.
Harshal Patel, Riyan Parag involved in verbal fight

On Tuesday, the 39th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season pitted Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After being skittled for 68 runs in their previous game, the Faf du Plessis-led side was under pressure to put up a solid performance.
And after he won the toss and chose to bowl first, their bowlers did an outstanding job. Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, and Wanindu Hasaranga all contributed to the Royals being limited to 144 runs in their 20 overs.
Riyan Parag who scored his second IPL half-century and remained unbeaten on 56 off 31 deliveries, was instrumental in the Men in Pink reaching that total. When they were losing wickets at regular intervals, he calmly churned out runs, then launched an attack in the last couple of overs.

In the last over, Parag went after Harshal Patel, pounding out 18 runs to push the team’s total above the 140-run threshold.
He also ended the innings on a strong note, smashing a six-over deep mid-wicket. However, Parag and Harshal Patel exchanged words for some reason. The batsman was walking back when he came to a halt after hearing something and said something back to the bowler.
Harshal and Parag were then seen walking towards each other, with a member of the Royals’ support crew pulling the former back. The reason for their fight is unknown, but the scenes in the middle were not pleasant to witness.
