On Thursday, cricket fans witnessed an exciting contest between Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant and Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner Shreyas Gopal, in which Pant initially dominated but Gopal came out on top.
Rishabh Pant hit three sixes in a row against Gopal before being clean bowled on the next delivery.
Rishabh Pant hits a hat-trick of sixes

Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 21 runs in an Indian Premier League match on Thursday evening, thanks to some fantastic power-hitting from David Warner and Rovman Powell. After being asked to bat first, Warner smashed 92 off 58 balls and Powell chipped in with 67 off 35 balls to help Delhi build up a massive 207/3 in 20 overs.
In response, SRH got off to a rocky start, losing Abhishek Sharma (7 off 6 balls) and Kane Williamson (4 off 11) inside the powerplay overs. Soon after the powerplay, Mitchell Marsh removed Rahul Tripathi, who tried to offer some resistance in the middle.
Aiden Markram then put together an important 60-run stand with Nicholas Pooran until Khaleel Ahmed dismissed him for 42 (22). Shashank Singh was also dismissed after failing to create an impression.
Sean Abbott was the next man to go, and Pooran’s gallant struggle came to an end as well. The freshly promoted Windies captain hit 62 off 34 balls to keep SRH in the game until the 18th over of the chase.

Delhi had a rough start earlier in the evening. Because Prithvi Shaw was unable to compete, his replacement, Mandeep Singh, was bowled out on 0 by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Abbott dismissed Mitchell Marsh on 10 (7). Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, then joined the action and amused the crowd.
The event occurred during Shreyas Gopal’s ninth over of the innings. Warner was off the mark with his opening delivery, giving the strike to Rishabh Pant. Pant then swiped the second ball from the slot for a six.
Pant moved down the track to clear the fence straight over wide long-off when the next ball had slightly flighted. The third delivery was a slower, wide outside-off delivery. Pant completed his hattrick of sixes by clearing the fence over long-off once more.

The DC skipper looked in great form as he smacked the next ball for four. The final ball was a full toss outside off, and it had the word “maximum” written all over it. Pant, though, lost his shape while attempting to smash hard, chopping the ball on the stumps.

6,6,6,4 and then Shreyas Gopal becomes the first spinner to get Rishabh Pant in #IPL2022.

Rishabh Pant has the makings of a good captain. Two things I think he needs to work on, though – first would be to bat as freely as he did when he was a player alone. The second is controlling emotions in crucial moments. Reckon he lets the latter get the better of him often.
