After his exploits against the Chennai Super Kings in the 68th match of the IPL 2022, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif praised Rajasthan Royals and Team India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin’s all-around performance not only helped RR qualify for the playoffs but also helped them finish second in the points table, giving them an extra chance in the playoffs.
Ravi Ashwin’s batting has had a major impact on the Rajasthan Royals, who have been a batter short in the bottom order all season. He’s been pushed up the order on a regular basis this season, not only to get used to the new ball’s swing but also to bat like a true batsman.

In the game against CSK, Ashwin was moved to number five again, and he scored 40* off just 23 balls to help his team win in the final over. He was also ecstatic after helping his team win and get into the top two.
“Dear Ashwin, is there anything in cricket you can’t do? Master spinner, impact batsman, time to start bowling at 150 kph. You are a champion all-rounder. @ashwinravi99,” Kaif tweeted.

Mohammad Kaif also praised Ashwin’s ability to adapt to a difficult pitch a few days back.
“The Rajasthan Royals are playing a game of horses for courses, going with the flow of the game. It was all part of the plan, with Samson going down to complete the game while Hetmyer was away. Because it was difficult to bat because the ball was stopping on the pitch, Ashwin played his part to perfection,” Kaif said on Ashwin’s performance against DC.
“David Warner also had a few near calls, with the ball flying into the air and landing on the stumps without the bails falling off. As a result, it was not an easy wicket to bat on, and I was impressed with Ashwin’s batting,” Kaif added.

In the first qualifier of the playoffs stage, the Rajasthan Royals will face the Gujarat Titans. A win would guarantee them a spot in the final, while a loss would offer them a chance to redeem themselves in the second eliminator and advance to the finale.
