Shubman Gill pulls off an absolute stunner

The two new IPL franchises went ahead and took on each other in the 4th match of IPL 2022. The buzz around the 2 franchises has been high and fans were excited to see what the two teams had to offer. Gujarat Titans is led by Hardik Pandya whereas the Lucknow Super Giants is being led by KL Rahul. The competitive spirit between the two best buddies was exciting factor for all cricket lovers.

Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first. This decision of Hardik Pandya turned out to be a masterstroke. The Titans bowled the first 6 overs with absolute venom and ferocity. Mohammed Shami, Varun Aaron and Hardik Pandya all began the bowling procession with incredible grit and determination. Lucknow, within the powerplay, had already lost 4 wickets with the captain going for a first ball duck.

Shubman Gill’s magic

In the 3rd over, Varun Aaron was bowling to Evin Lewis. He bowled Lewis a short pitched ball which Lewis pulled. Shubman Gill ran back approximately 15 yards backwards and dived to catch the ball falling over his head. The catch taken by Gill was an absolute blinder and could well already be the best catch of the season. He was chuffed to bits after catching it and Gujarat Titans were relieved to send an explosive Lewis back into the dugout.
