The frustration of Ishan Kishan at a poor run of form appears to have reached its limit, as he was spotted smashing the boundary ropes with his bat after being dismissed in Mumbai Indians’ (MI) game on Saturday (April 16).
The 26th match of the season pits the Mumbai Indians against the Lucknow Super Giants. Furthermore, the game is being held at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
The toss was won by Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who elected to bowl first. However, things did not turn out as the Mumbai Indians had hoped. KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock both performed admirably.
They went on to put up a first-wicket stand of 52 runs. Both of them made it through the powerplay, giving the Lucknow Super Giants a boost. Despite a poor start, the Lucknow Super Giants did not lose any wickets.
KL Rahul, on the other hand, was in fine form for the Lucknow Super Giants. The elegant player continued to impress against the Mumbai Indians’ bowling lineup. Against the Paltan, he played an aggressive brand of cricket.
The Lucknow-based team finished with a total of 199 runs and four wickets lost. But, as is customary with Mumbai Indians, the innings got off to a bad start. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for six runs in seven balls. Others, too, performed in the same way.
Ishan Kishan smashes boundary ropes in frustration

Mumbai needed a strong start to chase down the 200-run target, but it was not to be. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, was once again dismissed early. After the skipper’s early dismissal Ishan Kishan was anticipated to play a huge inning.
However, Kishan’s performance did not go much farther, and he was dismissed by Marcus Stoinis after hitting just 13 runs in 17 balls. It was Mumbai’s seventh over of the innings. Kishan attempted to steal a run with the ball slightly outside off-stump. The ball, though, caught the edge of his bat and struck the wickets.
Ishan Kishan was disappointed when he was dismissed. He whacked the boundary ropes with the bat as he exited the field. This might be considered a rule breach in the IPL. Action can also be taken against the player in such a case.
