Rohit Sharma has been Mumbai Indians’ biggest icon over the last decade. Ever since he has joined the franchise, the fortunes of the team has changes. He has shown splendid leadership and incredible batting prowess over the years. However, apart from his cricketing genius, Sharma also has an unbelievable comic timing.
His comic relief has been on display, both on and off the field. Be it his press conferences or his chirping picked up on the stumps mic, Sharma is always on his A-game. One such occasion was full public show when Sharma was fielding questions from the press before the Delhi game.
Now it is common knowledge that IPL 2022 is being played in 4 stadiums, all located in Maharashtra. This was done keeping covid situation in mind. There were press reports about how other franchises were miffed that Mumbai Indians will be receiving all the home support in every match.
When this question was posed to Sharma, he quipped in his usual indifferent and amused way. He said that he was aware that multiple franchises has raised objections about how Mumbai Indians could play all their games in Mumbai. However, as part of his advise, he said that the other franchises should build 4 stadiums in their cities. This way, the IPL could have been in their cities completely.
His tongue in cheek comment left his cricket fans in split and his supporters were not behind in appreciating his reply on Twitter. Many of his fans quote tweeted his clip with their love and laughter.
