Prithvi Shaw, a young cricketer who is now competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, is one of the country’s top players. Prithvi Shaw, 22, has purchased a home in Mumbai’s Bandra neighborhood.
Prithvi Shaw, the Delhi Capitals’ opener, recently purchased his dream home in Bandra West, Mumbai for Rs 10.5 crore – a sum nearly equal to the batter’s five-year IPL wage.
According to the Economic Times, Shaw purchased an eighth-floor apartment in MJ Shah’s 81 Aureate development on KC Road. It includes a carpeted area of 2209 square feet and a 1654 square foot patio. Shaw will also have exclusive access to three parking spaces as part of the transaction. Shaw reportedly paid Rs 52.50 lakhs in stamp duty on March 31 to cover the cost of the new property, which was registered just a few days later on April 28. Pyramid Developers and Ultra Lifespace are developing the property.
Additionally, the Team India batter will have exclusive access to three parking spaces. Shaw reportedly paid stamp duty of INR 52.50 lakhs on March 31, while the deed was filed just a few days later, on April 28.
Notably, DC acquired Shaw for Rs 1.2 crore during the IPL 2018 auction and retained him for the following three seasons at the same price. However, DC paid the 22-year-old Rs 7.5 crore in retention costs ahead of the IPL 2022 auction. It’s worth noting that Shaw rose to prominence following his captaincy of the Indian Under-19 cricket team to success at the 2018 ICC World Cup.
For this season, Shaw has been offered INR 7.5 crore. Nonetheless, the teenager has been inconsistent thus far, scoring 259 runs in nine matches at an average of 28.78 and a strike rate of 159.88, including two half-centuries and a top score of 61. This season, he was retained by Rishabh Pant’s team for Rs 7.50 crores. In total, the youthful prodigy has earned Rs 12.30 crores from Delhi Capitals over five seasons, and oddly, he has spent nearly all of it on this opulent mansion.
