At the moment, its their opening batting that has become a problem for them, with Anuj Rawat and Faf performing in bits, much of the batting relies heavily on the middle order and this time one of their most reliable batsman Virat Kohli is adding to their woes.
Virat Kohli‘s battle with his form has been a regular subject of discussion for quite some time now, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman seems to have no way out. Kohli was unable to open his account during RCB’s encounter against Lucknow Super Giants, leaving fans and analysts stunned after his dramatic dismissal.
Royal Challengers Bangalore faced Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022 match number 31 at Mumbai’s DY Patil stadium. After winning the toss, LSG captain KL Rahul requested RCB to bat first, as has been the case so far in the IPL. To begin the batting, Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat stepped out, and this time the youthful left-hander struck against Dushmantha Chameera.
Dushmantha Chameera kept the new ball moving from the opening delivery of the innings, preventing Anuj Rawat from settling. Rawat did brilliantly smash a boundary right down the ground on the third ball of the over. However, he was caught at mid-off on the very next ball. Virat Kohli stepped out in his normal number three position, and on the very first ball he faced, Kohli blasted the ball straight to Deepak Hooda, who was walking back from scoring a golden duck at backward point.
