Delhi Capitals (DC) beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 9 wickets in the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne stadium. Delhi’s batsmen and spinners were very clinical throughout the encounter, particularly Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and the senior Australian pro-David Waner. This is Delhi Capitals’ third victory in the Indian Premier League in 2022. Batting first, PBKS were bowled out for a pitiful 116 runs, and DC knocked down the mark with one wicket.
DC completed the chase handily because of fantastic bowling performances from Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Khaleel Ahmed, as well as some powerful batting from David Warner and Prithvi Shaw. Axar conceded just ten runs and took two wickets in his four overs. Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, and Lalit Yadav each took two wickets as PBKS were bowled out for 115 runs in their 20 overs.
Prithvi Shaw hammered 41 off 21 balls and Warner hit an undefeated 60 off 30 balls as DC cruised to victory with 57 balls remaining. This was an admirable attempt on the part of the Delhi Capitals, who had been decimated by positive Covid-19 instances. Tim Seifert tested positive hours before the game, casting a pall on the tie. Play resumed as anticipated, and DC acquitted themself well with both bat and ball.\

Kuldeep Yadav was named Player of the Match at the post-match ceremony, and he expressed his delight in sharing the honour with Axar. He said, “Thank you, however, I believe the Player of the Match award should be shared with Axar Patel, who got several crucial wickets in the middle overs.”
“I’ve played a lot with KG (Rabada) and he seldom utilises his feet, which is why I chose to give him the wrong ‘un,” he said. Rishabh instructed me to circle the wicket in search of the second wicket. I just chose to maintain a full pitch, and that is how the wicket fell. I’ve been extremely confident and mentally clear about what has to be done during this IPL. When I make a length error, I am unconcerned.”
Kuldeep Yadav said, “If my length is excellent, I may slide in the wrong ‘un and the flipper.” I am not watching any films at the moment, since I have already faced all of these batters.
I’m just concentrating on how I feel. I’m enjoying my bowling for the first time in a long time, and Rishabh deserves a lot of credit for the way he supports us, bowlers, even when we go for runs. That is a tremendous plus for bowlers.”
