Mohammed Siraj has established himself as a regular member of the Indian cricket squad, and this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with his batting prowess. When Siraj managed to knock the delivery for a boundary with a helicopter shot in an IPL match against CSK last night i.e., Tuesday, 12th March 2022, with 28 runs needed to win off the last ball, everyone was taken aback. The situation was even more ironic as it was played in front of former CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who was standing behind the wickets.
Coming back to Mohammed Siraj, a Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler, struck a four on the very last delivery of the RCB innings against Chennai Super Kings bowled by the experienced Caribbean bowler Dwayne Bravo in match number 22 of the Indian Premier League. Despite the fact that RCB lost the match, Mohammed Siraj was the star of the show as he struck a helicopter shot on the last ball of the contest in a contest that was out of their hands owing to a dismal performance by the bowling unit and the top order.
Dhoni is believed to be the originator and most perfect executioner of this shot. Many new players like Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Shahzad have in recent times attempted to play the shot just like Dhoni.
