It’s not easy being a cricketer’s wife. Constant camera attention, media mentions, and extended periods of time away from family are all factors that have an impact on day-to-day life. Sakshi Dhoni, who is married to MS Dhoni, one of India’s most famous cricketers, has spoken out about the difficulties that cricketers’ wives face.
Sakshi would frequently accompany Dhoni to the stadiums during his days as an active international cricketer. Sakshi drew parallels between the life of a cricketer’s wife and that of other professions’ wives, emphasizing how much the former must adapt to keep their husbands stress-free.

The captain’s wife of the Chennai Super Kings recently spoke with the franchise about her life as a professional cricketer’s better half. She said that being the legendary cricketer’s wife necessitates the ability to adapt because being married to a sportsperson is significantly different from the more common lifestyle that people lead in the more common walks of life.
“General life changes when you get married and your husband goes to an office. But our husbands go to play sports. So I think you just have to adapt and change according to how they expect you to be and not just sort of stress them out,” Sakshi said.
The 33-year-old also discussed having to deal with the infiltration of her personal space as a result of her marriage to a well-known figure. As the wife of a well-known cricketer, she is constantly judged by others. The former hospitality professional also discussed the importance of facing cameras and how people’s comfort levels in front of them vary.

“You don’t have your private space and you cannot be like how you are basically in front of cameras right now. Some people are comfortable in front of the camera, some people are not. And especially with the public, they tend to judge you, like especially when you are a cricketer’s wife. Even when you are doing something like hanging out with friends and they do talk,” Sakshi added.
