Ravindra Jadeja has returned from injury for the home series against Sri Lanka. The 33-year-old has been out of action since the first Test against New Zealand in late November last year. This is due to a knee injury he suffered. He is, however, almost certain to play both the matches of the series against Sri Lanka.
Saurashtra all-rounder had the game of his life on his return to cricket after injury. Ravindra Jadeja in Mohali, helped Team India finish the game in just three days. With both bat and ball, he single-handedly decimated the opposition, paving the way for a massive inning and 222-run victory.
After a career-best 175*, the 33-year-old southpaw took five wickets in the first innings and four more in the second.
Dinesh Karthik on Ravindra Jadeja

Jadeja has been the “most improved player” since the 2019 World Cup, according to veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik.
“For me, Jadeja’s been the most improved cricketer in the world since the 2019 World Cup. He’s gone a notch above… I think he was a bit hurt at the start when he didn’t play but his career has completely taken a different tangent. It’s like rocket fuel has been added on to him. He’s taken off to a different planet altogether, not only in white-ball formats but also in Test cricket,” Karthik said.

Jadeja talked about the mindset of Jadeja and praised his performance against Sri Lanka. Karthik said that Jadeja is someone who usually never gets injured and to come back after a long injury and to perform incredibly well is extraordinary.
“Jadeja missed time due to injury and yet came back and played like he has not missed a beat,” Karthik added.
Karthik also said that Ravindra Jadeja is not only a great fielder but he is also an amazing bowler and a great batsman. According to Karthik, Jadeja’s bowling and batting have reached great heights.
