Gujarat Titans are having a strong first season, winning their first two matches and putting up a strong showing against Punjab Kings thus far. GT won the toss and bowled first, reducing the opposition to 34/2. Liam Livingstone scored 64 runs for PBKS, who were aiming for a total of about 200 runs at one point.
GT, on the other hand, staged a comeback to keep them at 189/9. On the penultimate ball of the innings, Hardik Pandya botched a run-out opportunity prompted by batsman’s confusion.
Hardik Pandya laughs after making an error

When batsmen are confused, a run-out is normally the consequence, but Hardik Panyda squandered a run-out opportunity. Pandya made a massive error on the penultimate delivery of the innings, dislodging stumps with his foot to miss a straightforward run-out when batters were sprinting for the third.
Pandya bowled the final ball of the innings, a short delivery to Arshdeep Singh. As it was the final delivery, the batter pushed it hard to deep mid-wicket and then decided to risk trying a second run. However, the fielder’s throw was errant, and the batsmen tried a third run.
Hardik Pandya should have had an easy run-out, but he removed the bails with his foot and then missed the stumps. The GT skipper could only smile when his brain fade was confirmed by replays.
