Lockie Ferguson Breaks Umran Malik’s Mark

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final has cricket fans all over the world enthralled. The Gujarat Titans take on the Rajasthan Royals in a high-profile match, and both teams are eager to win the trophy.
In the meantime, Lockie Ferguson has bowled with venom in the match, as RR batters have struggled to cope with his thunderbolts. In fact, the New Zealand speedster set the season’s fastest delivery with a speed of 157.3 kmph.
Jos Buttler was on strike with the last delivery of the fifth over. Ferguson threw a lethal yorker at the Englishman, who was caught off guard. As a result, no runs were scored on the tournament’s fastest delivery. Ferguson went past Sunrisers Hyderabad speedster Umran Malik, who clocked a 157 kmph delivery during the season’s group stage.

Umran bowled the fastest delivery in all of the matches he played in. However, the tournament’s fastest ball is now against Ferguson’s name. Meanwhile, it should be noted that the New Zealand speedster was brought in to replace Alzarri Joseph for this match, and the move has paid off so far.
Ferguson, who is known for his ability to bowl yorkers in the death overs, was acquired by Gujarat Titans for a whopping Rs 10 crore, following a massive bidding war that saw Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals compete for his services.
Coming to the match, the Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the final match. RR has posted a total of 130-9 in 20 overs.

Lockie Ferguson is such a clutch fast bowler, he consistently bowls 145-150 kmph but if he wants he can bowl 157 kmph also like he did today (157.3 kmph) 🔥#IPLFinal
