In the game against Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings (PBKS) newcomer Jitesh Sharma demonstrated excellent glovework behind the stumps. He grabbed a sharp catch of MS Dhoni and then persuaded PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal to take a successful review, which resulted in Dhoni’s wicket.
Chennai Super Kings have continued their bad run of form in the IPL 2022 after losing their first two matches.
While chasing 181 runs, the squad lost by a large margin of 54 runs. Liam Livingstone was crucial for Punjab Kings, scoring 60 runs off 32 balls to help his team score a total of 180/8.
The wickets were falling at regular intervals, and CSK’s batting collapsed. MS Dhoni tried to take the game to the next level, but a superb decision by debutant Jitesh Sharma sent him back to the pavilion.
In terms of runs, CSK suffered their second-largest defeat in the IPL. Punjab Kings (PBKS) made 180 runs for the cost of eight wickets in this match, batting first after losing the toss. Ravindra Jadeja’s squad was bowled out for 126 runs in 18 overs in response. The Chennai team was defeated by 54 runs in this fold.
Jitesh Sharma Good Review Against MS Dhoni’s Wicket

The 18th over of the CSK innings was bowled by Rahul Chahar. He bowled a wayward delivery down the leg to Dhoni, which the wicketkeeper-batter attempted to knock. Jitesh Sharma firmly appealed for the caught behind, but the umpire ruled it a wide.

Captain Mayank Agarwal was then persuaded by Jitesh to undergo a review. The replays revealed spikes as the ball moved near the bat’s edge, and the umpire’s wide was turned into a wicket.

”I think we lost too many wickets in the powerplay and didn’t find momentum from ball one. We need to find a way to come back stronger,” Jadeja said after the match.
