Daryl Mitchell, a New Zealand all-rounder, has left the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the Indian Premier League’s Qualifier 2. Mitchell is a member of the New Zealand Test Squad, which will face England in a three-match Test series beginning June 2 at Lords in London.
Daryl Mitchell went unsold in the first round of auctions earlier this year, but RR bought him in the final round for his base price of $75 Lacs. He only appeared in a few games for the team and was unable to make a significant contribution.
Daryl Mitchell leaves for England before 2nd qualifier

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face the winner of the eliminator Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with an eye on the final (May 27). On Sunday, the winner of the second qualifier will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the summit clash (May 29).
RR had a chance to become the first team to reach the final, but they were defeated in a nail-biting thriller on Tuesday by the Hardik Pandya-led side. RR will now travel to Ahmedabad, where they will stay for an extended period if they win the second qualifier.
All-rounder Daryl Mitchell will be unavailable for the crucial match for the Sanju Samson-led side. RR shared a video of Kumar Sangakkara praising Mitchell before the New Zealand all-rounder left the camp on Twitter.

Mitchell has been named to New Zealand’s Test squad for the upcoming three-match series against England, which begins on June 2. Mitchell was a senior member of the team despite not being a regular in RR’s playing XI. In April, he scored 33 runs in two matches for the defending champions.

While Mitchell has arrived in England, Trent Boult is still in India and will not return until the end of the IPL season. Boult is New Zealand’s strike bowler and is expected to play in the first Test match. Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, and Devon Conway were also involved in the IPL, but their participation ended last week.
Today’s eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in Kolkata will be a focus for RR. The winner of the match will advance to the second qualifying round, while the loser will be eliminated.
