T20 cricket is a format in which batsmen primarily hit sixes and fours. While such aggressive cricketing displays enchant fans, some of these circumstances can also be dangerous. A female fan was struck in the head during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday.
The lady, dressed in yellow, had no idea what was about to unfold as the Chennai vs Lucknow match neared its climax. Badoni, who has been one of LSG’s biggest surprises so far this season, fired a lofted sweep right into the stands at Brabourne Stadium.
Ayush Badoni six hits female fan during LSG vs CSK match

For the first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings faced off, and it was Ayush Badoni and Evin Lewis’ late flurry that gave LSG its maiden IPL victory while delivering CSK their second consecutive defeat.
LSG star Ayush Badoni, who drew attention in their previous game when he smashed a fifty against Gujarat Titans (GT), was in a similar mood against CSK towards the end of the dramatic game which LSG won in the last over.
At Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, the 22-year-old struck a lofted sweep shot that went straight into the crowd. Replays revealed that a female fan attempted but failed to catch the ball that Badoni had struck.
The ball slid through her fingers and smacked her in the head. Fortunately, there was no significant harm. After the event, she was spotted massaging her head for a few moments. Later, someone from the stadium staff appeared to check on the lady to make sure she was okay.

Badoni’s contribution to Lucknow’s triumph was crucial, as he scored a 9-ball 19 to set up a match-winning partnership with Evin Lewis. Badoni and Lewis put on a 40-run stand for the fifth wicket, both batting at a strike rate of above 200. Lewis also remained unbeaten in the run-chase, leading the Super Giants home with a 23-ball 55.
