CSK did not have a great start to the IPL, with their lead pace bowler Deepak Chahar already out of the whole season, their bowling has literally cost them matches and consequently, they are in the bottom rung of the points table. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the defending champions, have nothing going for them in the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). With five losses in six matches, the injury-plagued club sits second-last in the points standings. While the franchise’s standout all-rounder Deepak Chahar has been declared out for the remainder of the season, it appears that even foreign fast bowler Adam Milne is injured.
Adam Milne has also been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, according to the latest reports from Insidesport. Milne, who made his CSK debut against KKR in the season’s opening match, was hurt during practice ahead of the second match. Milne was instructed to rest for two weeks by the physicians after the scan revealed the seriousness of the injuries.
Milne may need a few more weeks to recuperate, according to doctors who just did further tests to determine the severity of the injuries.
CSK will very certainly fail to progress beyond the league stage under the present conditions unless something spectacular occurs.
As a result, it seems inevitable that Adam Milne will miss the remainder of the season. Milne was reportedly purchased by CSK for INR 1.9 crore at this year’s big auction. It will be a double blow for CSK since it was confirmed earlier this week that Deepak Chahar would miss the remainder of the IPL 2022.
Meanwhile, CSK’s next encounter is against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 21. The two sides will square off in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. Mumbai’s predicament this season is far worse than CSK’s. MI has lost six consecutive matches and now sits at the bottom of the points standings.
