Rohit Sharma in the series against West Indies

Rohit recently guided his team to a clean sweep of the West Indies in both the T20I and ODI series. Since taking over as permanent captain from Virat Kohli in both ODIs and T20Is, the 34-year-old hasn’t lost a single game.
Sharma also scored 66 runs at an average of 22 in three matches with the bat.
Rohit attended the pre-match virtual press conference ahead of the first T20I against Sri Lanka, where he stated that leading the country in all formats was an honor.
“It’s a huge honor and a great feeling to be captaining India in all three forms. I have a lot of challenges to look forward to now. Once the opportunity came through, I was glad and very happy to be captaining the team. We have got a solid bunch of guys and looking forward to lead them on the park and see what we can create on the field,” said Rohit.
Sharma will go down in history as one of the greatest T20I batsmen ever. Sharma is currently the third-highest run-scorer in the T20I format of the game, with 3263 runs scored in 114 innings at a strike rate of 139.98 and an average of close to 33.
Sharma is also the only batsman in the T20I format of the game to have scored four centuries. Sharma has also amassed 26 fifties in the T20I format of the game.
