Ayush Badoni is a cricketer from India who primarily plays domestic cricket. He made his T20 debut for Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 11 January 2021. After a great domestic season, he was selected in the IPL 2022 auction. Ayush was chosen by the Lucknow Super Giants, for whom he made 54 runs in his debut match.
Badoni has yet to play for India’s senior team, however, he has represented the U19 team. Unfortunately, He was not included in India’s U19 World Cup roster.
Early Life and Career
Ayush was born in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India, on December 3, 1999. He primarily lives in Uttarakhand’s Devprayag block’s Panchayat Kwili village. He is currently based in New Delhi.
Vivek Badoni, Ayush Badoni’s father, is a documentary filmmaker. Vibha Badoni is his mother’s name, and she is a homemaker.
Aside from that, he has a younger brother named Pratyush Badoni who is still in school. He has an uncle named Vinod Badoni.
He had his early education at the Modern School on Delhi’s Barakhamba Road. He used to play cricket in school tournaments when he was a kid, which piqued his interest in the sport.
After finishing his schooling, he concentrated solely on cricket and underwent intense training in order to play for Delhi State. Coaches Tariq Sinha and Devendra Sharma taught him the intricacies of cricket at Sonet Cricket Club in Delhi.
Finally, in 2020, he was given the opportunity to play for Delhi in the domestic Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his T20 cricket debut for Delhi on January 11, 2021. Badoni is a product of Delhi’s Sonnet Club.
His cricket career was highly successful in the year 2022. In a four-day match against Sri Lanka, he made 185 runs in 202 balls while also taking four wickets.
