Rishabh Pant to lead the side:
The first T20 is scheduled to be played in the Arun Jaitley International stadium in Delhi. However, India has faced a few major setbacks just before the start of the series. The appointed captain of the squad KL Rahul has been ruled out of the series after an unfortunate injury. In his absence, Rishabh Pant will lead the squad, hence becoming the 8th captain of the Indian Cricket Team in T20 Internationals.
Rishabh Pant made a few questionable calls during his time at Delhi Capitals and would like to rectify them while leading in the blue colour jersey.
Kuldeep Yadav also ruled out:
The men in blue faced another major setback after the injury to KL Rahul. Delhi Capitals chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav has also been ruled out of the series following an injury. Kuldeep Yadav who had an impressive IPL was making a comeback after almost 2 years and was looking forward to changing his fortunes.
In the absence of Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi might get a chance to pair up with Yuzvendra Chahal in the first T20. The Delhi pitch might support spinners.
