In July, the BCCI has scheduled three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty-20 Internationals (T20Is) against Sri Lanka. The Test team will remain in England from June until September, according to the board. During the Sri Lanka tour, a new skipper and numerous fresh uncapped Indian players will be in action.
During the tour, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty-20 Internationals (T20Is) will be played. While one contingent of the Indian squad will be in England for the Test series in July, a new batch of top players will arrive in Sri Lanka to face them. There are also rumors circulating that Rahul Dravid would be the coach of the side that will face Sri Lanka.
Because several key Indian players, like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and KL Rahul, would be unavailable for the Sri Lankan visit, many other players will be given opportunities to participate. As a result, during India’s trip to Sri Lanka, several uncapped players will get an opportunity. On July 13, the ODI series will commence, followed by the T20I series on July 22.
#Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal has a good chance of earning his international debut versus Sri Lanka. The Karnataka batsman has impressed with his aggressive hitting approach during the last IPL season. He was the leading run-scorer for his side, Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the IPL 2020, and he also earned the emerging player of the year title. He grabbed the spotlight earlier this year in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 after smashing three centuries and three half-centuries in seven matches. With 737 runs, he was the second-highest run-scorer. He wowed everyone with a century (101) against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2021.
#Varun Chakravarthy
Varun Chakravarthy’s performance over the previous two years has been impressive. He’s one of the players who’s likely to make his debut during India’s July visit to Sri Lanka. In the IPL, Chakravarthy has emerged as a key bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders. Chakravarthy was outstanding for KKR in the IPL 2021, with seven wickets in seven games. He also had a fantastic economy of 7.82. In the IPL 2020, he was recognized for taking 17 wickets in 13 matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
#Chetan Sakariya
Sakariya’s strong performance in the IPL and domestic cricket may earn him a spot in the team. After his operation, T Natarajan is still recuperating. Because Natarajan did not make the squad, the Indian selectors had two alternatives for the left-arm fast bowler position. Jaydev Unadkat and Chetan Sakariya, both from Saurashtra, were the two names. In the IPL 2021, both left-arm fast bowlers played for the Rajasthan Royals. Sakariya was selected at last and could make his debut for India.
#Nitish Rana
Nitish Rana is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Delhi Capitals in domestic cricket and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He bats left-handed and bowls right-arm off-breaks part-time. Rana has been a standout player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. With his huge knocks, Rana has proved himself to be a match-winner, despite his inconsistency. For the six matches in Sri Lanka, Rana may be a valuable addition to India’s top-order.

Gowtham was purchased by the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League. With a price tag of 9.25 crores, Gowtham became the most expensive uncapped player in the history of the IPL. He was chosen in the Indian One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) teams for the series against Sri Lanka in June 2021.
